History

Founded in 2013 by co-founders Luke Craig and Yusuf Jimacale Shooting Starz has grown from working out of Luke’s mum’s garden to the huge operation it is now under their direction.

Yusuf and Luke met at Chelsea FC. In 2013 they laid the foundations for Shooting Starz after recognising an opportunity to provide accessible and high-standard coaching to all children, bridging the gap between academy and grassroots football.

With a shared vision to provide and promote youth participation in sports the pair began with offering holiday camps at Ravenscourt Park (a facility we still use that we hold dear to our hearts) and after-school clubs to local primary schools. In 2017 we took a significant step forward and re-located to Club-Des-Sports.

In 2023 we proudly opened our own facility at Shooting Starz in collaboration with Acton Sports Club. Our facility hosts a modern 4G Pitch and our own Clubhouse! You can see more about our facility here

Luke and Yusuf’s partnership has allowed us to now provide more than 20 sports in locations and facilities across West London. With key focuses on Football, Netball and Gymnastics we have worked with more than 40 schools and over 40,000 children in the past decade.

Our unwavering commitment to strengthening family bonds, promoting community cohesion and encouraging youth participation through the transformative power of sports continues to drive our mission. The creation of FC Starz and Starz NC, both not-for-profit clubs and the appointment of the Starz Community Trust ensures we remain true to our founding principles of delivering excellent coaching and encouraging youth participation in sports.
